A Latex balloon does not fly as long as so-called foil balloons. How long a latex balloon floats depends entirely on the quality and thickness of the latex balloon. Most often they only hover for about 8 hours. If you want your nice latex balloons to be able to fly longer, you can use Hi-float. Hi-float is a liquid that you pour into the balloon and massage around before filling it with helium. This liquid forms a protective layer inside the balloon and thus contributes to the helium staying longer and the balloon therefore flying longer. You can also buy Hi-float from us at yippo.se. If you order latex helium balloons from us, we always treat the balloons with Hi-float. Foil balloons can be said to be made for helium. They have like a built-in valve that makes them open up when you have to fill them with the helium tube. When you fill a foil balloon with helium, it will fly for about 3 days. Helium also reacts differently depending on temperature. When it's cold, helium contracts, for example if you were to have them outside in the winter. If you then have a foil balloon, it may look as if the balloon has broken. Therefore, helium balloons are not suitable out in the cold if you intend to have them outside in the winter. On the other hand, it is no problem to transport them in the cold, as the helium expands again when they reach room temperature.
