How do helium filled balloons work?

Before you buy your balloon, we have collected information that is good to know!

Helium balloons

This is how it works when you buy your helium balloon from us

Helium is the light gas that makes our balloons float, and when you buy a helium-filled balloon, safety instructions and guidance for proper use are also included. It includes guidelines for the safe handling, storage and use of helium as well as tips for maximizing the balloon's hover time. Thank you for your consideration!”

  • Choose your favorite balloons and state that you want to pick them up in store or have them delivered within Stockholm (delivery costs are added depending on the balloon and where you live in Stockholm NOTE shipping for helium balloons is not SEK 59 ).
  • Please note that helium balloons are only available for pickup in store or delivery within Stockholm.
  • Keep in mind that helium-filled balloons can be affected by sudden temperature changes . It is best to avoid constant and large temperature differences to preserve their floating time and quality.
  • To protect your balloons, we recommend that you buy a balloon bag to avoid them being exposed to sharp materials. Please note that although helium balloons are still balloons, we cannot take responsibility for them after they have left the store unless it is due to a manufacturing defect. Thanks for your understanding!"
  • Hi-float treated Helium filled latex balloons actually shrink over time. This is because the helium molecules, which are much smaller than air molecules, penetrate the pores of the balloon material and slowly leak out. As a result, the volume of helium inside the balloon decreases, causing the balloon to shrink gradually. Typically, you can expect a helium-filled latex balloon to shrink in size by approximately 20%-30% per day .
  • In the event of any manufacturing defects, it is important that you contact us within 24 hours at yippo.stockholm@gmail.com after you have purchased the balloon for the claim to be valid. Please document any errors with clear pictures or a short video clip and email them together with the purchase statement to us . Please note that complaints only apply to manufacturing defects. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!"

Confetti balloons with helium

The confetti balloons can become a little cloudy after 24 hours, so for best results we recommend that you use them directly on the day of the party. Important to note is that in the summer the shelf life of the confetti balloons can be affected. The heat can accelerate the shrinkage of latex balloons, which can cut their lifespan in half. So be aware of this when planning your party in warm weather conditions.

How do you inflate foil balloons?

Follow our simple guide to create magical moments with foil balloons and start your party with style and playfulness!

Many people wonder how to inflate a foil balloon. Here are simple step-by-step instructions:

  1. Prepare your balloon: Find the valve opening on the "tail" of the balloon. It sits a few centimeters into the opening.

  2. Use a balloon pump or straw: If you have a balloon pump (hand pump, electric pump, or helium gas tube), connect it to the valve opening and ensure a tight fit.

If using a straw, insert it into the valve opening (fairly deep) to inflate the balloon.

  3. Inflate the balloon: Blow air into the balloon with the pump or by blowing through the straw. Fill the balloon until it is the desired size.

  4. Seal the balloon: Once the balloon is inflated, remove the pump or straw and gently squeeze the valve opening to close tightly. Most foil balloons are self-sealing.

Now your foil balloon is ready to be used to create festive and memorable moments!
